SUPPORT Africa 2012
SUPPORT is an international initiative directed by the Az-Zahraa Youth Committee of Vancouver, Canada. The origination of SUPPORT stems from a collective gratitude that the youth hold towards the opportunities provided to them in the form of world-class education and privileged living standards.
The Az-Zahraa Youth Committee recognizes the importance of education, both religious and non-religious, as a critical tool required for the betterment and promotion of one’s living standard. The youth hold an awareness of the plights of many impoverished communities on a global scale where illiteracy is prevalent and have decided to assume an active role to promote education.
Az-Zahraa Youth Committee have directed their efforts towards creating a pathway for students, orphans and residents of Tanzania, Africa that would allow them an opportunity to further their education and improve upon their living standards. The Youth Committee’s efforts will target illiteracy, poverty and unsanitary environments in the cities Arusha and Kibaha, Tanzania.
The youth involved in this humanitarian endeavor hail from rich and diverse backgrounds in culture and academia. The combination of their distinct talents and skill-sets will produce the synergetic energy necessary to bring this project success. The Az-Zaharra Youth Committee members and volunteers aim to create a sustained relationship with the local schools, students and orphans of Arusha and Kibaha to foster and promote education.
