An Open Invitation to Muslim Families….

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Summer is officially here, and the end of another school year is upon us. This is an open invitation to all community members to come and kick off this summer with our free, public event for families that has become a summer tradition:

The 2008 Family Fun Day
Sunday July 6th
Richmond Jami’a Masjid
11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
(12300 Blundell Road, Richmond)

This year’s Family Fun Day is going to be different from any other year. We’ve got more rides, features, and interesting activities and visitors. They include:

· FREE Carnival rides including bouncy castles, giant slides and more.

· The RCMP will be landing a Real Police Helicopter on the Mosque grounds and putting on a presentation..

· Police Cruisers, Ambulances and Fire Trucks will be present, for all visitors to check out.

· FREE Pony rides will be available.

· Vancouver Canucks Mascot “Fin” will be on hand; taking photos & giving away hockey cards…bring your jersey to get signed.

· Science World will be giving exciting educational presentations.

· A Toddler Play Centre for younger children & toddlers.

And for the Parents, we’ve also got an indoor Bazaar sale for the entire day, held by the ladies chapter….

Any young adults, new immigrants or teens looking for a rewarding career? Recruiters from the RCMP will be available to answer any questions.

Great food including:
BBQ Burgers & Hot Dogs, cold drinks, cotton candy, Sno-cones, and an ice cream truck that will be present all day…
