Fatima, the daughter of the Prophet Muhammad, is an embodiment of feminine empowerment for women everywhere. Az-Zahraa Islamic Centre invites you to Lady Fatima's Hands: Finding Female Power in the light of Islam, an event commemorating the birthday of Fatima. Featuring speeches by Fatma Saleh, the author of "Women in Islam: A New Perspective" and Amina Inloes, a nationally recognised inspirational speaker, this event will explore the past, present, and future of Muslim women. The event will be on July 7th from 2:00 to 4:30PM at the Az Zahraa Islamic Centre in the heart of Richmond's Highway to Heaven and will include refreshments and discussion after the lectures, plus guided tours of the Mosque for guests.
