Madrasah Az-Zahraa
Madrasah is an Arabic word meaning School or Place of Learning. Madrasah Az-Zahraa is a weekend school designed to assist parents in their role of providing religious education to their children. Madrasah Az-Zahraa is governed by the Madrasah Council, which reports to the Executive Committee.
In the changing world we live in, we find many generation gaps building up between grandparents, parents, young adults, and children. The expectations of society and pressures of our peers are becoming very different with each succeeding generation. As the pace of life accelerates and the moral values of society decline, people are increasingly looking for comfort in the material world. Yet we know that the answer to our problems, to our hopes and to our life lies only with Allah SWT. These are the challenges that The Madrasah Az-Zahraa aims to address.
As Imam Ali (A.S.) said, “Teach through Actions rather than Words!”. The most influential people in Madrasah are the teachers. Our children look up to these teachers as role models and guides in their life journey. The teachers volunteer their time and efforts to teach, motivate, and be the best examples for our children. The community is indebted to their efforts and dedication. May The All-Mighty reward them for their hard work! Ameen.
Let us as parents help the work of the teachers and spend time with our children daily to discuss and follow-up on their Madrasah work, and emphasize the READING AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE HOLY QUR’AN!
“Allah does not hold the People of Ignorance
responsible for not learning until He has held the
people of knowledge responsible for not teaching”
